Coffee worth slowing down for.
Ember & Oak is a wood-fired corner roastery on Maple Street. We roast in small batches twice a week, pull every shot to order, and bake our pastries before the sun clears the lake. Pull up a stool.
Our story
A fire, an oak table, and a very good cup.
Ember & Oak started in 2016 with a cast-iron roaster in the back of a bike shop and a single reclaimed-oak table out front. The name stuck: ember for the slow heat we roast with, oak for the table where strangers still end up sharing a morning.
We buy green coffee from importers who name their farmers and pay above Fair Trade floors. We roast it light-to-medium to keep the fruit, and we brew it two ways — fast on the espresso bar, slow on the pour-over station. Nothing sits more than fifteen minutes.
